Wildlife Services is a cooperative program between the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Sacramento County and is responsible for the control of non-domestic animals, such as skunks, opossums, raccoons, beavers, coyotes, and damaging birds that pose a threat to human or animal health and safety, or cause damage to property or livestock.
- There is a small fee for the service to help offset the program expenses.

Please note: As of January 1, 2020, Wildlife Services will no longer service wildlife traps owned by property owners, residents or businesses. All traps must be owned by the USDA and placed and serviced by Wildlife Services Specialists. There will be no exceptions.
